Our Story
We wanted something inclusive. Something that looked like Atlanta. Something that prioritized shared effort and was about more than just riding bikes.
So we decided to build it ourselves.
Origins
TRMNUS Works started with conversations among our four founders: Bradley Wallace, Hannah Hanlon, Lee Redfern, and Rob Downs.
The four of us first rode together as part of another cycling team, sharing miles, race weekends, and long conversations along the way. Over time, as we traveled and rode more together, those conversations shifted from race schedules and equipment to bigger questions: What did we actually want out of cycling? What kind of team did we want to be part of?
Lee has spent more than forty years in the cycling industry as a master mechanic and racer. He’s been on countless teams and has seen every version of what a team can be. Hannah came from a background in college lacrosse, transitioned to triathlon, and eventually found her home in road cycling. Rob jumped into endurance sport by signing up for the Leadville MTB 100 as his first major event and has been racing gravel and road ever since. Bradley was a casual roadie before moving into racing gravel and ultimately served as one of the sporting directors during the group’s final stretch on their previous team.
We all brought different histories, but shared the same realization: if we were going to invest this much time and energy into a team, we wanted it to reflect our values from the ground up.
The Name Matters
Once we decided to start something new, we needed a name that reflected both our mission and our city.
Atlanta’s first name was Terminus—a railway town built at the end of the Western & Atlantic Railroad. We liked the idea of connection and shared infrastructure. We stripped it down to TRMNUS, intentionally keeping “US” as a nod to collective effort.
The addition of Works serves two purposes. It references Atlanta’s industrial roots, and it reinforces a simple idea: community requires work. It doesn’t happen automatically.
TRMNUS Works reflects the Atlanta we know—creative, collaborative, and constantly evolving. We partner with national brands that support performance, and with local businesses that anchor us to the culture around us. The goal was to build the kind of team we always wished existed: one that rides hard, shows up for its community, and understands that cycling extends beyond the finish line.
A Partnership With Purpose
From our earliest meetings—before we had a name or a kit—we knew we wanted this to be more than just another race team. Supporting a cause that mattered to us was built into the plan from day one.
Lee felt strongly that The White Line Foundation aligned with who we wanted to be. The organization was created after the death of Magnus White, a junior national champion killed by a motorist while on a training ride. Their mission is to protect vulnerable road users through policy, advocacy, and education.
For Bradley, who works in one of the nation’s busiest Level I trauma centers, the issue is personal. The consequences of traffic violence aren’t abstract. That perspective helped solidify this partnership as a cornerstone of our identity, not just a logo on a jersey.
We want our team to stand for something tangible. Supporting safer roads is part of that commitment.
The People Who Believed Early
We’ve been fortunate to have strong support from the beginning.
Guilty Party, a heritage menswear shop in Atlanta’s historic Grant Park neighborhood, became our flagship partner. While it may not be a traditional cycling sponsor, the alignment makes sense to us: respect for craft, quality over trend, and care for how people are treated. They’ve been part of this from day one.
We’re proud to partner with local Atlanta businesses like Atlanta Pro Bikes and Systeme D, alongside industry leaders such as Neversecond, Kask, Pirelli, and Koo. The combination keeps us competitive on race day and grounded in the community we represent.
Year One
For our first season, we focused on bringing in a core group of riders who believed in the mission.
Some of us are competitive gravel and MTB racers. Others are more focused on community engagement and local outreach. We see that mix as a strength— we want to be defined by more than podiums.
Most of our riders are based in Atlanta, but we also have team members in Boulder and Milwaukee—riders with ties to Atlanta who believe in what we’re building and help carry the mission beyond Georgia.
TRMNUS Works began as a decision to build something intentional. Not just a team to race under, but a community to contribute to.
We’re proud of the foundation we’ve laid, and we’re committed to building on it with intention.
